We will be running a sponsorship program with Givecloud, but don't want to actively advertise the students on our GC website.

However, we would love to be able to share a private link to sponsorship profile to a potential sponsor when they request to be sponsor.

Think of Vimeo's ability to make a video private, but available to anyone with the link.
